Turkish Three-Spoon Dessert Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 heaped tablespoons sugar
  • 3 heaped tablespoons semolina
  • 3 heaped tablespoons flour
  • 3 heaped tablespoons milk
  • 3 heaped tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla

Sherbet

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups sugar

Preparation

  1. Whisk eggs and sugar together

  2. Add vegetable oil and milk on top and mix

  3. Add flour, semolina, baking powder, and vanilla, then mix well

  4. Pour the mixture into a square baking dish

  5. Bake in a 180-degree oven until golden brown

  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes

  7. Whisk milk and sugar together at room temperature

  8. Pour the mixture over the cake

  9. Allow the cake to absorb the syrup for 5 minutes

Tips

  1. Ensure the milk for the syrup is not too cold to avoid cracking the baking dish

  2. The dessert tastes even better the next day
