Traditional Cypriot Meatballs with Potatoes
Ingredients
- 3 small potatoes
- 300 grams ground meat
- 1 small onion
- 1 egg
- Quarter of soaked and squeezed stale bread
- 1 teaspoon mint
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- A pinch of cinnamon
- Cumin (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Optional: parsley
Preparation
Grate the potatoes using the fine side of the grater.
Squeeze out the water thoroughly and transfer to a suitable bowl.
Add the other ingredients and knead well.
Cover and let rest in the fridge for about half an hour.
Shape into finger-length pieces.
Fry in oil until golden.
