Turkish Pizza Poğaça

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 fresh yeast

Toppings

  • 2 sausages
  • Half sucuk sausage
  • 2 green peppers
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Grated cheese

Preparation

  1. In a deep bowl, combine water, milk, and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes

  2. Add sugar, salt, and vegetable oil, then knead into a soft dough that does not stick to hands

  3. Cover the dough with a lid and plastic wrap, let it rise for 30 minutes

  4. Prepare the toppings by chopping them

  5. Divide the risen dough into egg-sized pieces

  6. Mix egg yolk with 1 tablespoon milk and brush it on the dough pieces

  7. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  8. Indent the center of each piece using the bottom of a glass dipped in oil

  9. Add grated cheese into the indent, followed by chopped sausage, and top with chopped sausage, green peppers, and tomatoes

  10. Let the prepared pieces rise for another 10 minutes

  11. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius until golden brown
