Kazakh Fried Dough Baursak

Ingredients

  • 600 g flour
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • 270 g water

Preparation

  1. Mix flour, butter, sugar, salt, and baking soda together.

  2. Add water and knead into a soft dough.

  3. Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Divide the dough, roll into ropes, and cut into small pieces.

  5. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
