Brazilian Baked Doughnut Rings
Ingredients
- 7 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 eggs
- all-purpose flour, as needed
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation
Combine sugar, butter, 1 egg, salt, and baking powder
Stir well and gradually add flour
Knead by hand, adding flour as needed, until the dough comes together and is smooth enough to roll
Grease a baking pan and place the shaped rings on it
Brush the rings with the remaining egg
Bake in a medium oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown
If desired, roll the baked rings in powdered sugar
