Brazilian Baked Doughnut Rings

Ingredients

  • 7 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 eggs
  • all-purpose flour, as needed
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation

  1. Combine sugar, butter, 1 egg, salt, and baking powder

  2. Stir well and gradually add flour

  3. Knead by hand, adding flour as needed, until the dough comes together and is smooth enough to roll

  4. Grease a baking pan and place the shaped rings on it

  5. Brush the rings with the remaining egg

  6. Bake in a medium oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown

  7. If desired, roll the baked rings in powdered sugar
