Simple Homemade Cake for Any Occasion

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 heaping tablespoons margarine
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder

Preparation

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside

  2. Beat the egg yolks with margarine and sugar until well combined

  3. Gradually add the milk and flour while beating continuously

  4. Gently fold in the egg whites and baking powder

  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured large tube pan

  6. Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 40 minutes

  7. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean
