Chocolate Custard Dessert with Pistachio

Ingredients

  • 100 grams melted chocolate
  • 1/2 cup finely ground pistachio
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Filling

  • 6 pieces of finger biscuits

Decoration

  • Whipped cream

Preparation

  1. Prepare 4 transparent glasses for serving and dip the rim in melted chocolate then in pistachio for decoration.

  2. In a medium-sized thick-bottomed pot, place the milk and heat it on medium heat until well heated.

  3. In a deep bowl or large measuring cup, place egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, and cornstarch and mix with a whisk until homogeneous.

  4. Pour the hot milk over the egg yolk mixture and stir, then return the mixture to the pot and heat on medium heat.

  5. Stir with a wide plastic spoon until the mixture boils and thickens, continuing until a smooth custard forms.

  6. Add the melted chocolate and butter and stir until fully combined.

  7. Distribute the chocolate custard into the glasses, place a piece of biscuit on top of each, and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

  8. For serving, garnish with whipped cream and serve immediately.
