Classic Brazilian Condensed Milk Pudding

Ingredients

Pudding

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) milk (use the condensed milk can to measure)
  • 3 whole eggs

Caramel sauce

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water

Preparation

  1. Beat the eggs well in a blender

  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and milk, and blend again

  3. Melt the sugar in a saucepan until it turns brown, then add the water and let it thicken

  4. Pour the caramel sauce into a round mold, then pour the pudding batter on top

  5. Bake in a medium oven for 45 minutes in a water bath (place the round baking dish inside a larger one filled with hot water)

  6. Insert a fork to check if the pudding is fully baked

  7. Let cool and then unmold
