Classic Carrot Cake with Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 medium carrots, grated
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Frosting
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
Preparation
Add grated carrots, eggs, and oil to a blender and mix
Add sugar and blend for 5 minutes
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the flour, then mix
Add the baking powder and mix slowly with a spoon
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for approximately 40 minutes
Frosting
Pour butter, cocoa powder, sugar, and milk into a bowl and mix
Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it reaches a creamy consistency
Pour the frosting over the cake
