Classic Carrot Cake with Chocolate Glaze

Ingredients

Cake

  • 3 eggs
  • 250 grams carrots
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Chocolate glaze

  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons margarine

Preparation

Cake

  1. Blend the eggs, carrots, oil, and sugar until well combined

  2. In a bowl, sift the flour and add the blended mixture, mixing well. Finally, add the baking powder

  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean

Chocolate glaze

  1. Cook the milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and margarine in a saucepan until thickened

Assembly

  1. While the cake is still in the pan, cut the cake and pour the chocolate glaze over it, allowing the glaze to soak in

  2. Top with chocolate sprinkles
