Ginger Oatmeal with Fresh Fruits and Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana, sliced or mashed

Preparation

  1. Quick oats can be used or pulse rolled oats for faster cooking.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.

  3. Bring to a simmer.

  4. Stir as it thickens, about 3 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and serve.

  6. Enjoy with fruit as desired, such as blueberries, persimmon, banana, cocoa nibs, and peanut butter.
