Malaysian Semperit Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 block butter
  • 1 cup milk powder
  • 400g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • A little vanilla essence

Preparation

  1. Mix the butter and milk powder together until well combined using a spatula or whisk; no mixer is needed.

  2. Gradually add the flour, cornstarch, and vanilla essence, then knead until the dough is soft and not sticky to the hands.

  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  4. Shape the dough as desired.

  5. Let the shaped cookies rest for 20 minutes before baking.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until done.
