Vanilla Cookies with Royal Icing

Ingredients

  • 150g margarine
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 250g low-protein flour
  • 30g cornstarch
  • 20g powdered milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 2 egg yolks for glazing (optional)
  • Ready-made royal icing

Preparation

  1. Beat margarine and powdered sugar for 30 seconds

  2. Add the egg yolk and mix until smooth

  3. Sift in the flour, cornstarch, powdered milk, baking powder, and vanilla powder, then mix well with a spatula

  4. Roll out the dough and shape as desired

  5. Bake at 150°C for 20 minutes

  6. Cool completely

  7. Decorate with royal icing

  8. Bake again at 100°C for 10 minutes

  9. Cool and store in a jar
