No-Knead Chocolate Walnut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (90g)
  • 1/2 teacup milk (50ml)
  • 1 teacup sunflower oil (100ml)
  • 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 1.5 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour (250g)
  • 1 teacup chocolate chips
  • 1 teacup coarsely chopped walnuts

Preparation

  1. In a deep bowl, add the egg and sugar and whisk with a hand whisk.

  2. When the sugar dissolves, add the milk and sunflower oil and mix.

  3. Add the flour, baking powder, vanilla, chocolate chips, and walnuts and mix with a spatula until a very soft dough forms.

  4. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced apart, using a spoon.

  5. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for 15-20 minutes.

  6. Remove the cookies from the oven, let them cool, and serve.

Tips

  1. You can shape the dough with a spoon without kneading.

  2. Use broken chocolate instead of chocolate chips if desired.

  3. Substitute almonds or hazelnuts for the walnuts.

  4. The dough should be soft and sticky.

  5. Olive oil can be used instead of sunflower oil.
