Quick Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups fine-grained sugar
- 1 1/2 cups plain cocoa powder
- 2 cups chopped nuts
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups soft butter
- 4 large eggs
Preparation
Set the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Prepare a 13x9 inch pan by lining it with parchment paper.
In a mixer bowl, combine sugar, cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanilla, butter, and eggs. Mix on medium speed until well blended.
Remove the mixer. Add nuts and stir with a wide plastic spoon until mixed.
Pour the mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
To remove, lift out using the parchment paper.
Cut into squares and serve.
