Hummus with Curry and Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 2 tablespoons curry spices
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cans cooked chickpeas, drained
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- Fried pine nuts

Preparation
In a small pot, put the oil and onion. Place on medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon until onion is light yellow. Add garlic and curry. Stir for a minute until curry aroma rises. Add water and let boil for 3 minutes.
In a blender jug, put chickpeas, yogurt, salt, pepper. Add the curry mixture. Blend on medium speed until smooth and homogeneous.
Spread hummus in serving dishes. Garnish with pine nuts and serve with Arabic bread.
