Oats with Cinnamon and Maca

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 c hot water
  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c frozen blueberries ?half a small banana
  • 1 tbsp almond butter

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the oats and flaxseed (this is also when I set out the blueberries to thaw)

  2. Heat up the water in the microwave until it’s bubbling, I usually do about 2 min

  3. Carefully pour the hot water over the oats and cover the bowl with a plate, then let it sit for at least 30 min or longer so the oats can absorb the water

  4. Remove the plate and add the protein powder, maca, and cinnamon, and stir to combine, adding a splash of water if needed

  5. Top with frozen blueberries, banana, and almond butter
