Chocolate Ginger Pear Avocado Smoothie Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/2 avocado (sub overripe banana)
  • 1 ripe pear (add a date if not very sweet)
  • 2-3cm grated ginger (definitely use fresh here)
  • 2 heaped tbsp cacao
  • 1-2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup almond milk (more for runny oats, I used about 200 ml)
  • optional 1 tsp maca powder
  • 50g oats
  • 1 tbsp chia
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • pinch sea salt

Toppings

  • mango
  • figs
  • berries
  • banana
  • coco yoghurt
  • puddle of peanut butter
  • melty dark chocolate
  • mixed seeds
  • cacao nibs

Preparation

  1. Blend the ingredients until smooth.

  2. Cook the blended mixture on the hob with oats, chia, flax, and salt until warm and creamy.

  3. Once warm and creamy, add the toppings and serve.
