Cinnamon Apple Stovetop Oats Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons coconut sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 diced apple
  • 1/4 cup plain kefir
  • peanut butter
  • granola

Preparation

  1. Heat 1 cup of oats with 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk until bubbling.

  2. Add 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 teaspoons coconut sugar, and 1/3 teaspoon ginger.

  3. Mix together and cook for 8 minutes over low medium heat.

  4. In a separate pan, heat 1 teaspoon coconut oil over medium heat.

  5. Add 1 diced apple and sprinkle cinnamon on top; cook until apples are soft, about 5 minutes.

  6. Add 1/4 cup plain kefir to the bowl of oatmeal after cooking to preserve probiotics.

  7. Also add peanut butter and granola for extra flavor and texture.
