Cinnamon Apple Stovetop Oats Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons coconut sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 diced apple
- 1/4 cup plain kefir
- peanut butter
- granola
Preparation
Heat 1 cup of oats with 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk until bubbling.
Add 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 teaspoons coconut sugar, and 1/3 teaspoon ginger.
Mix together and cook for 8 minutes over low medium heat.
In a separate pan, heat 1 teaspoon coconut oil over medium heat.
Add 1 diced apple and sprinkle cinnamon on top; cook until apples are soft, about 5 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup plain kefir to the bowl of oatmeal after cooking to preserve probiotics.
Also add peanut butter and granola for extra flavor and texture.
