Cinnamon Sugar Stovetop Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/4 cup plain kefir
  • peanut butter
  • pecans

Preparation

  1. Heat 1 cup of oats with 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk until bubbling.

  2. Add 2 tsp cinnamon and 2 tsp coconut sugar, mix together, and cook for 8 minutes over low medium heat.

  3. In a pan, heat 1 tsp coconut oil over medium heat.

  4. Add 1/2 banana cut into coins and sprinkled with cinnamon, cook for 30 seconds on each side.

Add-ins

  1. Add 1/4 cup plain kefir to the bowl after cooking oats to preserve probiotic benefits.

  2. Top with peanut butter and pecans.
