Malaysian Apam Balik Pancake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup liquid milk
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • A little yellow food coloring

Toppings

  • 1.5 cups crushed peanuts
  • 1 can cream corn
  • Sugar to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix all the batter ingredients together and let rest for 1 hour. Ensure the batter is not too thick and test a small piece first.

  2. Cook on a non-stick pan until crispy.

  3. Sprinkle with peanuts, sugar, and cream corn.

  4. Serve immediately.
