Chipotle Burgers with Sweet Potato Buns
Ingredients
- 1 lb grass fed ground beef
- 1 tsp chipotle powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- olive oil
- extra large sweet potato
- kale
- onion
Preparation
Mix 1 tsp chipotle powder, 1 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp chili powder together.
Combine the spice mixture with 1 lb grass fed ground beef and form into 4 patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil when hot.
Cook the burger patties for 5-6 minutes on each side.
Slice an extra large sweet potato into rounds; optionally soften by boiling or microwaving if too tough.
Preheat oven to 500°F or use broil setting.
Bake the sweet potato slices on the bottom shelf for 10-12 minutes; move to top shelf at the end for crispiness if desired.
Sauté onion and serve the burgers with kale and the sweet potato buns.
