Chipotle Flavored Fiesta Sauce for Versatile Dishes
Ingredients
- 1 tsp miso paste
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 small sweet potato
- 1 cup unsweetened plain almond milk
- 1/4 small onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chipotle powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Bring a saucepan of water to a boil.
Peel the sweet potato, cut into small cubes, and cook in boiling water for 6-8 minutes until tender.
Strain the potatoes using a colander and place in a blender.
Optionally, in the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until onions are softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the onion, garlic, and all other remaining ingredients except salt to the blender with the potato.
Cover the blender and blend on high until the sauce is fully smooth.
Taste the sauce and add salt to taste as needed.
