Honey Lemon Grilled Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block (450g) firm tofu
  • Half of a lemon
  • 4 tablespoons agave nectar (or maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Preparation

  1. Juice half of a lemon to obtain lemon juice.

  2. Mix the lemon juice, agave nectar, tamari or soy sauce, and rice vinegar together and set aside.

  3. Drain the water from the block of tofu.

  4. Slice the tofu into 2-inch slices and then cut them diagonally.

  5. Grill the tofu pieces in a griddle pan over medium-high heat for 2 minutes on each side.

  6. Coat the grilled tofu pieces with the honey lemon dressing.

  7. Serve immediately.
