Cinnamon and Chocolate Palmiers

Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

For decoration

  • Ready-made chocolate cream

Preparation

  1. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 13x9 inch rectangle.

  3. Brush the pastry with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon, and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.

  4. Cut the pastry into 1/2 inch wide strips.

  5. Roll each strip into a spiral shape and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

  8. Once cooled, decorate with ready-made chocolate cream and serve.
