Vegan Bacon with Rice Paper Marinade
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp liquid smoke (alternative: smoked paprika)
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- about 4 sheets of rice paper
Preparation
Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl to create a uniform sauce.
Cut the rice paper into thin strips resembling bacon slices.
Dip the rice paper strips into the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
Cook the marinated strips in a preheated oven, air fryer, or skillet until they become crispy and bacon-like in texture.
