Quinoa and Oat Porridge with Banana Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1/3 quinoa flakes
  • 2/3 oats
  • boiled water
  • 1/2 mashed banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • almond milk

Toppings

  • almond butter
  • hot maple bananas
  • dark 80% chocolate
  • cacao nibs
  • chopped almonds

Preparation

  1. Make a porridge mix with one-third quinoa flakes and two-thirds oats.

  2. Pour boiled water over the mix and stir.

  3. If desired, let it soak for 5 to 30 minutes.

  4. Add half a mashed banana and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

  5. Cover with almond milk and stir slowly while warming.

  6. Add more almond milk until the porridge reaches your desired consistency.

  7. Top with almond butter, hot maple bananas, dark 80% chocolate, cacao nibs, and chopped almonds.
