Delicious 5-Minute Turkish Cookies
Ingredients
- 250g butter at room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 packet baking powder
- 4 cups flour
Topping
- Egg white
- 1 teacup crushed hazelnuts
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, powdered sugar, and egg yolk and start kneading.
Gradually add the baking powder and flour and continue kneading.
In a separate bowl, mix the crushed hazelnuts and sugar for the topping.
Shape the dough into balls and coat the tops with egg white, then dip in the hazelnut mixture.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Oven times may vary; bake carefully and remove when lightly browned.
