Easy Homemade Puff Pastry Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 50 g butter
- 75 g sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp milk
Preparation
Preheat oven to 200°C conventional (180°C fan) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Take puff pastry out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 5 minutes
Melt the butter
Roll out the puff pastry and brush with melted butter
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture onto the puff pastry, reserving 2 tablespoons
Roll the puff pastry tightly from the short side
Cut the roll into 12 pieces about 2 cm wide
Whisk egg yolk with milk
Brush the rolls with the egg wash
Sprinkle the rolls with the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture
Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown
Storage
Store in the refrigerator for at least 2 days
