Classic Brazilian Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 French bread rolls
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 (14-ounce) cans milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
Caramel
- 1 cup sugar
Preparation
Caramel
Heat 1 cup sugar in a saucepan over medium heat without stirring until caramelized
Pour the caramel into a 9-inch bundt pan, tilting to coat the bottom
Pudding
Blend eggs, condensed milk, bread, butter, milk, and 1/2 cup sugar in a blender until smooth
Pour the mixture into the caramel-lined bundt pan
Place the bundt pan in a roasting pan and fill the roasting pan with hot water halfway up the sides
Bake at 350Β°F (180Β°C) for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
