Classic Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 250g corn starch
  • 250g cornmeal
  • 250g sugar
  • 250ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder

Preparation

  1. In a blender, beat the eggs and sugar for 1 minute

  2. Gradually add the milk, butter, cornmeal, and corn starch

  3. Continue blending until the batter is smooth

  4. Finally, add the baking powder and gently stir until combined

  5. Pour into a pan greased with margarine and dusted with cornmeal

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 240Β°C for about 35 to 40 minutes
