Classic Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 250g corn starch
  • 250g cornmeal
  • 250g sugar
  • 250ml milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder

Preparation

  1. Blend eggs and sugar for 1 minute

  2. Gradually add milk, butter, cornmeal, and corn starch

  3. Continue blending until the batter is smooth

  4. Gently stir in baking powder until combined

  5. Pour into a pan greased with margarine and dusted with cornmeal

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 240Β°C for 35 to 40 minutes
