Fluffy White Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Sponge cake batter

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

White chocolate ganache

  • 400 g white chocolate
  • 2 boxes (400 ml) heavy cream

Toppings

  • Colorful sprinkles or white chocolate shavings
  • Whipped cream

Preparation

White chocolate ganache

  1. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave

  2. Add the heavy cream and stir well

  3. Let cool then refrigerate until set

  4. Before using beat for one minute to make it creamier

Sponge cake

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside

  2. In another bowl beat egg yolks and sugar at high speed until well combined

  3. Gradually add warm milk then flour and finally fold in the egg whites and baking powder

  4. Preheat oven to 180Β°C (356Β°F)

  5. Pour batter into a round deep cake pan without a hole

  6. Bake until golden brown

  7. Let cool then unmold cut into three layers and fill with white chocolate ganache

  8. Top with whipped cream and decorate with colorful sprinkles or white chocolate shavings
