Persian Rose Petal Jam

Ingredients

  • 1 compressed cup fresh rose petals
  • 1 cup sugar

Jam additions

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  1. Combine the fresh rose petals and sugar, then store the mixture in the freezer.

  2. Boil two cups of sugar and one cup of water until the syrup thickens.

  3. Add the frozen rose petal mixture to the hot syrup.

  4. Shock the mixture by cooling it rapidly and let it steam until set.

  1. The preserved petals retain their fresh scent when thawed.
