Bbq Tofu with Gochujang Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2/3 package extra firm tofu
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1.5 cups steamed broccoli florets
  • 1 cup edamame
  • 1 cup cooked noodles

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp gochujang sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1.5 tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

Garnishes

  • cilantro
  • sauteed mushrooms
  • sesame seeds
  • scallions
  • red chili flakes

Preparation

  1. Cut tofu into thin pieces.

  2. Add oil to a large pan and place tofu pieces without overlapping; cook in batches if necessary.

  3. Cook tofu until lightly browned, about 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce in a bowl.

  5. Add the sauce to the cooked tofu and toss to coat.

  6. Serve with vegetables and noodles.
