Sautéed Carrots with Walnuts and Honey

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 10 medium carrots
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Preparation

  1. Toast the walnuts in a skillet until fragrant, then set aside

  2. Peel the carrots and cut them into 1/2 cm slices

  3. In a skillet, heat the oil, butter, and water

  4. Add the carrots, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and cumin, cover the skillet and cook on medium heat for a few minutes until the carrots are tender and absorb the water

  5. Add honey, lemon juice, and sprinkle with parsley

  6. Place the carrots in a serving dish and sprinkle with the walnuts
