Biscuit Layer Cake with Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients

  • 3 packages cocoa biscuits (such as Ülker or Petibör)
  • 6 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • Almost 1 cup sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 1 packet liquid cream
  • Half packet milk chocolate or 2 tablespoons chocolate spread (like Nutella)

Preparation

  1. Place the milk in a pot

  2. Add flour, sugar, and starch, then stir to make a custard

  3. Add vanilla and half of the liquid cream, and whip well

  4. Arrange one package of cocoa biscuits at the bottom of a rectangular mold or square dish

  5. Pour some of the custard over the biscuits

  6. Add another layer of biscuits and repeat until three layers are formed, using one package per layer

  7. Let the cake cool

  8. For the ganache, heat the remaining half of the cream and mix in half a packet of milk chocolate or 2 tablespoons of chocolate spread

  9. Spread the ganache on top of the cake

  10. Once cooled, decorate as desired and serve

  11. Alternatively, use a prepared chocolate sauce instead of ganache

Tips

  1. If you prefer not to use cream, prepare 1 tea glass of milk with 1 packet of whipped cream powder and add it to the custard for a smooth cream
