Stir-Fried Salted Tuna with Green Chili

Ingredients

  • 200g salted tuna
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 green tomatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Powdered stock to taste
  • Oil for frying and stir-frying

Sliced spices

  • 10 shallots
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 7 large green chilies
  • Bird's eye chili to taste

Preparation

  1. Clean the fish by removing bones and scraping the skin to maintain white color, then wash and drain it. Shred coarsely and add lime juice, letting it sit for at least 15 minutes.

  2. Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and fry until cooked, then remove and set aside.

  3. Heat a little oil and stir-fry the sliced spices and bay leaves until fragrant. Add the fish and a little water, stir evenly, cover the pan for about 3 minutes.

  4. Add the potatoes, salt, powdered stock, and green tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are slightly wilted, adjust the taste, then remove from heat and serve.

Notes

  1. Simple home cooking with available ingredients can sometimes lead to eating more rice, perhaps just as an excuse to add more.
