Easy 10-Minute Homemade Satay Sauce

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes (add less or more to taste)
  • 1 cup unsweetened peanut butter (smooth or chunky both work)
  • 1 can coconut milk

Preparation

  1. In a small pan off the heat, mix together the lime juice, honey, tamari, and peanut butter. It will be very thick and that's okay.

  2. Put the pan on a medium-low heat.

  3. Add the coconut milk and chilli flakes.

  4. Gently whisk together until well combined.

  5. Cook for five minutes. It's ready.

  6. Note: When cold, it may get thicker; warm slightly or whisk in a little water to loosen.
