Moist Banana Cake with Caramel Glaze
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Bananas, as needed
Topping
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup hot water
Preparation
In a saucepan, cook sugar until melted, then add hot water and stir until sugar dissolves. Cook until thickened to a syrup consistency, then remove from heat and set aside
Blend eggs, sugar, oil, and milk in a blender until combined
Gradually add flour and continue blending until the batter is smooth and homogeneous
Add baking powder and blend just until incorporated
Grease a baking pan with margarine and dust with flour
Pour the caramel syrup into the prepared pan
Arrange bananas lengthwise in the pan
Pour the batter over the bananas
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for approximately 30 minutes, or until golden brown on top
Tips
This cake is very moist and delicious
