Easy Brazilian Ground Meat Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 700g ground meat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup drained canned green corn
  • 1 envelope powdered beef bouillon
  • Salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley and scallions to taste

Topping

  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Garnish

  • Shoestring potatoes (for sprinkling)

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan over high heat and sautΓ© ground meat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally

  2. Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, corn, and beef bouillon; sautΓ© for 5 more minutes or until meat is no longer raw

  3. Season with salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley and scallions; spread mixture in a medium baking dish

  4. Cover with cream cheese and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200Β°C for 10 minutes or until lightly browned

  6. Sprinkle with shoestring potatoes and serve
