Brazilian Ground Beef Fricassee Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 700g (1.5 lbs) ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1 cup corn kernels, drained
- 1 envelope (about 10g) beef bouillon powder
- Salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh cilantro to taste
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Shoestring potatoes for sprinkling
Preparation
In a pan, heat the oil over high heat and sautΓ© the ground beef for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, corn, and beef bouillon, and sautΓ© for another 5 minutes or until the meat is no longer raw
Season with salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro, and spread in a medium baking dish
Cover with the cream cheese and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese
Bake in a preheated oven at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 10 minutes or until lightly golden
Sprinkle with shoestring potatoes and serve
