Easy Homemade Pizza Rolls
Ingredients
- 250g high-protein flour (e.g., Cakra)
- 10g granulated sugar
- 3g salt
- 30g liquid whipping cream
- 150g fresh milk (UHT plain)
- 3/4 tsp instant yeast
- 20ml olive oil
- Grated cheddar cheese, as needed
- Mozzarella cheese, as needed
- Diced sausage
- Bolognese sauce
- Red and green bell peppers, as needed
- Oregano
Preparation
Mix the base ingredients and knead with a mixer on low speed for 10 minutes
Cover the dough with cling wrap and store in the refrigerator for 1 hour
Remove dough from fridge, add instant yeast, knead with mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, then add olive oil and knead again on medium speed until smooth and elastic
Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest in a covered container for 1 hour
Punch down the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes
Roll out the dough thinly, spread with bolognese sauce, sprinkle with diced sausage and grated cheddar cheese, and roll up
Cut into pieces and place in a margarine-greased baking tray
Let it rise again until doubled in size, about 40-60 minutes depending on room temperature
Sprinkle the top with bell peppers, mozzarella cheese, and oregano
Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, adjust according to your oven until golden brown, ensuring the oven is preheated before putting in the dough
