Banana Almond Bake Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas (about 300g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 150g ground almonds
  • 30g cacao powder
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter

Optional

  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to sweeten if needed

Preparation

  1. Mash the banana

  2. Whisk up the eggs with a fork and mix into the banana mixture, then add the almonds and cacao and stir well

  3. Pour the mixture into a baking tray

  4. Spoon the peanut butter in blobs over the mixture and use the back of the spoon to make swirls

  5. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes

  6. Check if it's cooked by inserting a knife; if it comes out clean, it's done, otherwise keep in the oven for a few more minutes

  7. Let it cool fully before cutting
