Chili Garlic Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu, pressed and drained
  • 2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch

Preparation

  1. Pat pressed tofu dry with a paper towel

  2. In a large Tupperware container add remaining sauce ingredients until well combined

  3. Add tofu and seal container

  4. Shake container gently to fully coat tofu with sauce

  5. Allow to sit for five minutes then take the individual pieces of tofu and place on a lined baking sheet

  6. Reserve remaining sauce to pour over tofu and veggies at the end

  7. Place in oven at 400F for 15 minutes then pull out and carefully flip to the other side to bake for an additional 10-15 minutes

  8. Serve as is or toss with sautéed veggies and remaining sauce and cook down until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes, then remove from heat and serve with rice
