Mint Slice Matcha Smoothie
Ingredients
- ✅ 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (homemade is best)
- ) ✅ 2 tsp Matcha Green Tea powder (look for organic)
- ✅ 1-2 sprigs of fresh mint leaves
- ✅ 1 large frozen banana (peel before freezing)
- ✅ 1 tbsp chia seeds (I use white to keep the glowing colour)
- ✅ 1/8 – 1/4 slice of avocado (depending on what you can tolerate)
- a handful of washed organic baby spinach
- ✅ 2 drops of pure vanilla essence or 1/8 tsp vanilla bean powder
- 1 heaping tbsp cacao nibs for topping/crunch
How to steps
Add all ingredients (except the nibs) to a high-speed blender or thermomix & blitz on high until creamy & smooth
Ensure the matcha powder is well combined
Add the cacao nibs & blitz for 1-2 more seconds (so the smoothie retains some crunch)
Top with extra cacao nibs and/or mint leaves
Note: if you’re not a fan of Matcha or green tea (crazy!) then simply omit the matcha & you’re left with a mint slice smoothie
