Vegan & Gluten-Free Heart-Shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
Cookies
- 2 cups almond flour
- 3 tbsp coconut flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Layer
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Preparation
In a bowl, mix all the cookie ingredients together until well combined.
Roll out the cookie dough on parchment paper.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to shape the cookies.
Place the shaped cookies on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 14-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool completely before handling.
For the Chocolate Layer
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted.
Dip half of each heart-shaped cookie into the melted chocolate mixture.
Optionally, add sprinkles on top of the chocolate-coated half of the cookies.
Place the dipped cookies on a plate lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Once all cookies are dipped and decorated, store them in the fridge to allow the chocolate layer to set.
