Apple Pie Oatmeal Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup steel-cut oats (not quick-cooking)
  • 1 large apple, cored & chopped into roughly 3/4-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp real maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • OPTIONAL: 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • OPTIONAL: 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
  • TOPPING: Chopped nuts or seeds of choice

Preparation

  1. Place everything, except toppings into a medium saucepan over medium high heat.

  2. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until oats are soft and liquid absorbed.

  3. Serve with chopped nuts.
