Black Pepper Sauce with Beef Over Cauliflower and Broccoli Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 -2 tsp of black pepper corns roughly crushed
  • beef strips ( about 300 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or flour of choice
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of red wine
  • 1 tsp ketchup (like gf @amazingdadssauce )
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Sauté onion in oil, add beef and cook quickly. Remove beef from pan

  2. Deglaze the pan with quarter cup of red wine and cook down for about 2 minutes, then add the cornstarch dissolved in water

  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes and toss the beef back in to reheat

  4. Steam the cauliflower and broccoli that is finely chopped to resemble rice
