Ingredients
- 1 cup Black chickpeas ( Garbanzo beans) • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp red chilli powder • 1 tsp cummin seeds • 1/2 tsp corriander powder
- 7, 8 curry leaves • 1 tsp mango powder • 1tsp lemon juice • 1tbsp corriander leaves ( chopped )
Preparation
Wash and soak legumes over night ■ In the morning they will swell up and double in size and it will take less time to cook . ■ Drain them through strainer ■ Cook them in pressure cooker for 10minutes , if you don't have pressure cooker then take a big pot reduce the heat and simmer the chickpeas with lid slightly ajar, cook till 45 to 55 minutes or until tender . ■ In a pan heat oil , add cummin seeds, curry leaves ■ when they start to crackle add in all the spices except mango powder. And mix well
Add Chickpeas and mix well in the spices adding lemon juice and mango powder ■ Switch off has and add corriander leaves ■ Serve it hot with any bread or relish or add to any salad greens
